Step-By-Step Guide How to Sterilise Your Derma Roller at Home.
Sterilising your derma roller is a simple process that can make a huge difference in the safety and effectiveness of your microneedling routine. By following these step-by-step process, you’re helping to keep your skin free from bacteria and ensuring the longevity of your derma roller.
Clean your workspace thoroughly with an antiseptic or disinfectant wipe to ensure that it is free from germs and bacteria.
Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water, and consider wearing gloves to avoid contamination.
Pour 70% isopropyl alcohol into a clean bowl or container.
Immerse the derma roller’s head (the needle part) into the alcohol.
Allow it to soak for 5-10 minutes to ensure thorough disinfection.
After soaking place it on a drying rack or stand to allow the needles to air dry completely.
Once the derma roller is completely dry it is now ready to use.
Derma Roller (Needling) General Application:
Begin by sanitising the Derma Roller with an alcohol solution of 70% in the disinfection basin before every use. This is to ensure safety.
Cleanse your skin with a cleanser of choice and a silicone facial cleansing brush to remove all traces of dirt, sweat, and makeup.
Apply Femvy Hyaluronic Acid Serum onto the skin before rolling.
For the treatment area, delicately roll the derma roller back and forth in each direction (horizontally, vertically, and diagonally). Repeat this motion 5-10 times. Remember to lift the derma roller off your skin before changing the rolling direction.

Derma Roller Usage Frequency:
How often you derma roll depends on the length of needles you’ll be using. Below is a guide for each length:
0.25mm – suitable for daily use (make sure your skin is properly healed before the next use). Start by using the tool twice a week and gradually increase the frequency of daily use.
0.5 mm – once every 3 weeks
1.5 mm – once every 4 weeks
IMPORTANT – Post-Derma Rolling (Needling) Treatment Care:
A sensation like a mild sunburn is normal and may last for 24 hours.

Massage the treatment area with the preferred pressure, then gently roll back and forth in each direction (horizontally, vertically, and diagonally). Repeat this motion 5-10 times.
