How does Microneedling Work?

Dr Pen consists of two parts: an electric hand piece that plugs into the wall for a stable and consistent source of power, and 2 needle tips, each containing 12 microscopic needles. You simply click the needle cartridge into handpiece, and your Dr Pen device is ready for action.

The internal motor causes the needles in the Tip to oscillate at a rate of close to 110 revolutions per second. When the needle tip makes contact with the skin, the needles create tiny micro-channels on the surface of the skin. These tiny micro-channels stimulate a healing response in the skin, which includes increased production of both collagen and elastin.

Having more collagen and elastin causes the skin to become firmer, reduces scars gradually, and smooths wrinkles over time. The Pen can be used multi-directionally, so the microneedling treatments can be performed on any area of the face, neck, neckline, stomach, thighs, buttocks, or scalp.

This small, easy to operate device is able to produce similar, if not better, results to a fractional laser, without the risk of hyper or hypo-pigmentation, as well as other side effects and downtime associated with these effective, but potentially damaging ablative heat based treatments.

This kit comes with 2 needle cartridges. Each cartridge has 12 titanium needles and can be reused 3 -4 times. (Please note, cartridges should not be shared. You can of course use your Dr Pen on clients (if you are a salon/spa owner, or a friend or family, but always use a new cartridge each time).

Does Dr Pen hurt?

Dr Pen offers multiple needle lengths to treat your specific skin goals. They range from .2mm to 3mm. Numbing cream is not required for anything up to 1.5mm but you may find it more comfortable to ice or use a numbing cream if you are making use of the 2mm+ . Because it glides over your skin, it is much kinder on the skin and easier to use.

Derma Roller VS Derma Pen?

Dermal rollers are simpler, less tech-savvy predecessors to the Derma Pen. The Dr Pen tip has a much smaller surface area which comes in contact with the skin, which allows it to treat those hard to reach areas quickly, easily, and effectively. Even though it may seem that such a small contact surface would make the treatment much longer and much more tedious, the truth is to the contrary — because the needles vibrate at such a high oscillation rate, the Dr Pen Tip glides across the skin with ease, providing for quicker treatment times.

The different depths needed to treat various regions on the face and body presents another problem if you are using a Derma roller. Dr Pen features adjustable needle depth, making it easy for the you to tailor the treatment perfectly to suit your needs. The most important difference between dermal rollers and the Dr Pen system lies in the effectiveness of the two technologies. One thing has been repeatedly shown to be true — the more micro-punctures a device is able to achieve, the more dramatic the results will be. With the majority of dermal rollers, the maximum achievable number of holes is somewhere between 300 and 400 holes per second. While this sounds like a lot, the number sounds quite small when compared to the number of micro-punctures created by the Dr Pen system. With its 12-tip needle head and a motor that produces close to 110 revolutions per second, the Dr Pen is able to deliver an impressive 1,300 holes per second, ensuring the most dramatic results.

How is this Different from the Traditional Micro-Needling?

Traditional Microneedling requires machines which make use of needles that create micro punctures on the skin to facilitate natural collagen induction. Quite a lot of bleeding takes place in the traditional micro-needling process. BB Glow, on the other hand, uses special needle cartridges which only stretch the skin cells to facilitate easy absorption of the serums used. Hence there is no need for any numbing cream, and there is absolutely no bleeding in the process.

Is this Procedure Painful like the Micro-Needling Process?

The special cartridges just rams the upper layer of the facial skin at a high speed. So except for feeling a very light force being applied on the skin, there is really no other kind of pain involved. BB Glow is a new virtually painless type of micro-needling therapy.

Hydra Needle | 20 Microneedle Derma Stamp With 5ml Serum Bottle 04

Hydra Needle Microneedle Tool and Serum Applicator

Hydra Needle is an effective microneedling/microchanneling device used to inject a variety of serums into the skin. This microneedling device contains 20 gold tip needles to produce optimal delivery into the skin. Each needle creates a hole the same thickness as a hair. The microneedling device is most commonly used to deliver cosmetic and hair rejuvenation serum into the skin and can be utilized for stretch mark and scar removal.

Microneedling has become a popular treatment for those who want smoother skin and a youthful glow on their face. This can also help a number of skin issues like deep wrinkles and stretch marks, to name a few. While this procedure is available in spas and aesthetic practices, microneedling products are now in the market for those who want to do less invasive minor treatments for skin firming and other benefits.

So how do you use a Hydra Needle? You need to lay down or at least tilt your head and start from the top of your face to ensure even coverage. Make sure that the needles are perpendicular to your skin to make thin and minimal punctures. Use pressure on your skin for the hydra needle to take full effect, then rub your serum onto the face. Finally, rinse your skin with clean water.

It not only improves fine lines and wrinkles, but can also improve acne scars, stretch marks, pore size, redness, and overall skin quality.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?

Many patients notice a skin plumping and brightening effect immediately but results are usually seen 3-7 days after treatment and typically last approximately 3-4 months (depending on the condition being treated, your lifestyle, and overall skin quality).

HOW OFTEN CAN I GET IT DONE?

This procedure can be done as often as every 1-3 months, as doing several treatments throughout the year will continue to improve long term skin quality. We find that Hydraneedle treatments work best in a series of 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

Peptides

How to Use a Hydra Needle

Not all Hydra Needles are created equal. When purchasing your Hydra Needle (also known as a Hydra Stamp), take note that these come in different brands, so consider the quality, reviews, and product description when browsing. Alternatively, you might come across a product called the “Hydra Roller”. Hydra Needles are similar to microneedling pens, while Hydra Rollers are similar to derma rollers, so choose which one you’re more comfortable working with.

If you find Hydra Needles with different needle lengths, avoid getting those equipped with 2-millimeter needles or longer. This is not recommended for at-home use and can cause extensive scarring. Many Hydra Needles are sold individually, but given that Hydra Needles are disposable and only last a few uses before the needles go dull, it might be more practical to buy in larger quantities.

Preparing Your Skin

Before you can start microneedling, it’s important that you check whether or not you’re suitable for microneedling use. Anyone can do microneedling, but if any of these apply to you, we highly recommend you don’t until these issues clear up.

People with active bacterial infections on their skin. This includes acne cysts, staph infections, psoriasis, eczema, and others. This also includes people who are seeking treatment for these infections but are not fully healed. If you proceed with microneedling, there’s a risk that bacteria can enter the microchannels and cause a deeper infection.
People with a history of poor wound healing. Microneedling relies on your skin’s self-healing mechanisms, so a history of poor wound healing could affect the results.
Women on their periods. Your skin is more sensitive right before and during your period, so wait until after your period ends to perform microneedling to avoid making your treatment more painful.

Otherwise, it’s time to start preparing your skin!

1. Wash your face thoroughly with warm water and a gentle cleanser, then pat dry with a clean towel.
2. This step is optional, but those with sensitive skin types might have difficulty tolerating the puncturing, apply a topical numbing cream or any over-the-counter topical product to your face. Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes, or as directed on the product description.
3. Using a clean cotton pad or cotton ball, gently wipe your face with 70% isopropyl alcohol solution. This is to cleanse your skin and prevent bacterial infection. Wait for the alcohol to dry before you begin microneedling.

Preparing Your Hydra Needle

Next, let’s prepare your microneedling device. Keep in mind that the Hydra Needle and the Hydra Roller are different (the Hydra Needle is closer to a microneedling pen, while the Hydra Roller is more like a derma roller), and cleaning the Hydra Roller head can be different.

1. Whether you’re using your Hydra Needle for the first time or you’re reusing it, it’s a good practice to disinfect Hydra Needle. Fill a container with enough rubbing alcohol solution to submerge your Hydra Needle’s parts. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then take it out and let it dry completely.
2. Add your serum of choice into the applicator vial. You can use any serum, but keep in mind that serums with thicker consistencies can be difficult to dispense during the procedure. Some serums you can consider include hyaluronic acid (for skin hydration), vitamin C (for dull skin), and any serum that promotes anti-aging treatments, but you can opt to use your favorite product as long as its consistency can provide optimal delivery.
3. Attach the microneedling head to the applicator vial. Remove the cap before application.

Using the Hydra Needle

Make sure you are in a clean environment before beginning the procedure.

1. When using the Hydra Needle, make sure you are laying down or at least tilting your head back. The device should be vertical so that the serum dispenses evenly on all the needles and has optimal delivery.
2. Start at the top of your face and make your way down to ensure an even treatment throughout your face.
3. When stamping the Hydra Needle, make sure the needles are perpendicular to your skin surface. If you do this, the microchannels will be thin and minimal. If you puncture your skin at an angle, the microchannels are wider and more prone to bleeding and scarring.
4. Use even pressure every time you stamp the Hydra Needle. Continue downwards in an organized fashion to ensure every portion of your face is punctured uniformly and evenly.
5. After you’ve finished puncturing, if you still have serum on your face after the treatment, rub it gently into your skin for better absorption.
6. Rinse your face with clean water (don’t use soap or any cleanser) and pat dry.

No downtime is needed for at-home microneedling, but keep in mind that your skin may feel sensitive to the touch for a few days after treatment. At-home microneedling shows huge improvements on your skin with weekly or bi-weekly use.

Cleaning Your Hydra Needle

1. Disassemble your Hydra Needle and wash all the parts with dishwashing soap. This can remove residual blood and remaining skin tissue on your Hydra Needle.
2. Soak the cap, needle attachment, and vial with alcohol for 10 minutes.
3. Let your Hydra Needle components completely dry before storing it.

If your Hydra Needle is a single-use device, replace the cap of the Hydra Needle and dispose of the microneedling tool properly. For Hydra Needles that can be used multiple times, check if the needles are dull; if it is, dispose of your Hydra Needle. Otherwise, you can start cleaning your Hydra Needle.

There are various tools used by both cosmetic practices and DIY users to perform microneedling, but the Hydra Needle offers something more. Compared to other microneedling devices like the derma roller, derma pen, and other related products that puncture microchannels in the skin to trigger its natural healing response, Hydra Needle units are fitted with 20 microneedles and an applicator vial for up to 5 milliliters of fluid.

After adding a topical serum of your choice, the unit can dispense serums into the microchannels as soon as they’re formed in the skin. This allows you to infuse the skin with beneficial serums that can penetrate more deeply, thus providing the patient with an extra dimension to their microneedling experience.

Our Hydra Needle products also come with different needle sizes, which can provide different results based on how deep the needles puncture the skin.

Microneedling Treatments for Skin Care

Microneedling is a popular cosmetic procedure for women and men looking to enhance their beauty through their body’s natural response to puncturing the skin. During a microneedling procedure (formally known as collagen induction therapy), sterilized needles create microscopic wounds in your skin. This triggers your body’s natural healing process which treats your skin through production of collagen and elastin, which promotes healthy skin and keeps it soft and youthful-looking.

But what exactly is the best choice for a microneedling pen today? It all depends on the results you’re trying to achieve and what your preferences are. That’s why it’s important to know all the microneedling options you have on the market and take in all the factors to decide which best suits your situation.

Are you looking for a minimally-invasive aesthetic treatment to refresh and revitalize your skin? Do you want to improve the overall tone, texture, and quality of your skin? Micro-needling may be the right skin rejuvenation treatment for you! Micro-needling Dermapen can tighten loose or lax skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and acne scarring, and improve the tone and texture of the skin.

Microneedling pens are a good beauty tool to invest in for naturally healthier skin. After trying out a few microneedling sessions at your local aesthetic practice or clinic for more major concerns like acne scars and deep wrinkles, see if you’d like to continue the practice in the comfort of your own home to help exfoliate dead skin cells for softer skin and provide better penetration for your skin care products.

What is micro-needling?

Micro-needling DermaPen is a skin micro-needling treatment with minimum downtime which promotes scarless healing and natural collagen production in the skin to improve the appearance of scars, acne scarring, stretch marks, wrinkles, pigmentation and rejuvenate the skin.

This procedure is minimally-invasive, non-surgical skin rejuvenating technique that uses the dermapen micro needling , an automated medical device that contains multiple fine needles, to create microchannels in the skin for increased stimulation of circulation and natural collagen production in the treated area. This newly created collagen provides the skin with additional support and helps to improve the overall health and quality of the skin. This dermapen micro needling treatment helps tighten skin, improve scars, fine lines, and wrinkles, and aids the absorption of topical skin care products.

Benefits of Micro-needling:

Micro-needling Dermapen is an effective way to remove acne scarring and imperfections on the skin, the biggest benefit is the improvement in overall skin tone and texture that comes about after the treatment, along with the minimised appearance of pores in the skin, reduced superficial wrinkles and reduced appearance of stretch marks.

Stimulates collagen production
Safe for most skin types
Treats fine lines
Improves skin texture
Reduces the appearance of large pores
Enhances the effects of topical skin care products
Stimulates circulation
Improves overall health of skin

How does the dermapen work?

Dermapen works through a method of puncturing the skin through a spring-loaded automated function, the dermapen uses microneedles to move up and down across the skin, puncturing small holes as it moves. The mechanism inside the dermapen causes the stimulation of healthy collagen and the small punctures in the skin to allow for nutrients to be absorbed into the deep layers of the skin. The dermapen process is fast and therefore doesn’t damage the dermal layers of the skin.

Does the dermapen hurt?

You may experience minor discomfort during the skin needling treatment but a numbing cream can be applied beforehand to reduce this. Depending on the aggressiveness of treatment, you may experience pinpoint bleeding during the treatment but not ongoing.

You may find temporary redness of the skin for a couple of hours or a day depending on the treatment type. This redness often heals up quickly, however, if you experience any prolonged discomfort it’s advised to get in touch with the surgery that undertook your treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatment sessions needed in order to achieve optimal results can vary from patient to patient depending on the patient’s aesthetic goals and the condition being treated. We typically recommend a series of three to six treatment sessions spaced approximately four to six weeks apart. Some patients may benefit from a single micro-needling treatment schedule once or twice a year to improve the health of the skin and enhance regular skincare regimen.

Common treatment areas:

Face
Neck
Décolleté
Abdomen
Arms
Hands
Legs

When will I see results?

Most patients experience a noticeable improvement in the tone and texture of their skin after a single micro-needling treatment. The full effects of this rejuvenation treatment usually development within a few weeks of your treatment session, with continued improvement in the quality of your skin as the new collagen develops for up to skin months following a treatment session.

Are there any side effects?

Some patients may experience some temporary side effects, including facial redness and tenderness in the treated area, similar to a mild sunburn. These side effects are typically mild and generally subside on its own within three to five days of a treatment session.

Microneedling Pen vs. Derma Roller

For those interested in at-home microneedling, you have two microneedling devices to choose from: microneedling pens or derma pens similar to the ones used by most aesthetic clinics, and microneedling rollers more commonly known as derma rollers.

Microneedling pens are electric or battery-powered units that hold cartridges of stainless steel needles available in different sizes. Each unit can also adjust the length of the needle heads that punctures the skin. When powered, these pens spring the cartridge back and forth to puncture the skin. Users have to position the pen around certain areas of their face, and can toggle a button or adjustable dial to adjust the speed level of how fast the adjustable needles spring. After the microneedling session, the unit will have to be sterilized before storage to remove the remaining skin tissues. Reusable cartridges should be sterilized and stored while disposable cartridges can be thrown away.

Derma rollers, on the other hand, are manually operated and do not require electricity or batteries. It is a cylinder with needles on its surface connected to a rolling handle that is used to repeatedly roll over the skin. After microneedling, the entire roller will have to be sterilized before storing it away.

Microneedling Pens Are Better Than Derma Rollers

While plenty of people are using derma rollers as an affordable basic option, we recommend going for microneedling pens as it offers more benefits to at-home users. Despite its price, even beginners may find that microneedling pens have much more to offer those looking to benefit from the effects of microneedling sessions.

Microneedling pens offer versatility. Derma rollers come with one cylindrical roller with one needle length. This makes it impossible to shorten or lengthen the needle length for other skin concerns that require deeper needle penetration. Microneedling pens, on the other hand, can adjust in cartridge size between nano, 12, and 36-pin needles as well as the length of the pins that puncture the skin. Beginners can start on smaller pins with the shortest needle length for superficial skin problems and then gradually make their way up to bigger cartridges with longer needle lengths – all with one tool.

Mirconeedling pens puncture the skin straight down. When used correctly, a microneedling pen should be perpendicular to the skin it punctures. These punctures go straight down the outer layer into the middle and inner layer of the skin, reducing the pain (especially for those with sensitive skin) and minimizing potential scarring while also making the absorption of skincare products more efficient when applied to the area. Rollers, on the other hand, may appear straight on the cylinder. But when rolled, it punctures the skin surface at an angle, drags the skin forward, and leaves at another angle. Depending on your skin type and skin condition, this can create larger wounds susceptible to skin trauma, which can lead to the appearance of scars.
Microneedling pens have thinner, sharper needles. Microneedling pens come with thin, sharp stainless steel needles (or titanium, for higher-end units with multiple-use cartridges). This means less skin trauma when the needles puncture your skin. In comparison, rollers have shorter and duller needles.

How does Microneedling work?

The Derma pen is an automated micro-needling device with a disposable tip cartridge that is made up of 12 micro-needles, which uses proprietary technology to penetrate vertically into the skin. The stamping action of the Dermapen’s vertical tip creates invisible micro-injuries to the skin while stimulating the skin’s natural ability to heal itself and increase the production of new collagen. In doing so, these micro-injuries encourage and harness the body’s innate ability to regrow and repair the skin through normal physiological processes and the skin becomes rejuvenated and refreshed.

The needles create tiny micro-channels on the surface of the skin.

FAQ:

1. How is this Different from the Traditional Micro-Needling?
– Traditional Microneedling requires machines which make use of needles that create micro punctures on the skin to facilitate natural collagen induction.

2. Is this Procedure Painful like the Micro-Needling Process?
– The special cartridges just rams the upper layer of the facial skin at a high speed. So except for feeling a very light force being applied on the skin, there is really no other kind of pain involved. BB Glow is a new virtually painless type of micro-needling therapy.

DIY Microneedling – How to Use a Hydra Needle

Microneedling is one of the most requested aesthetic services today – add one of our best-selling pens to your practice today at a fraction of the price of our competitors! Microneedling can even be performed by Aestheticians in most states!

Hydra needle is a good method that helps solution take effect inside the skin. It is micro needle device for delivering cosmetic and hair growth solution into the dermis by lightly tapping it on your skin especially around eyes. 20ea of micro needles with the same hair thickness forms fine holes in the skin without pain . Also Special spiral system is designed on each of those micro needles through which the solution flow down and can be transferred into dermis very directly and effectively.

Wash your face thoroughly with warm water and a gentle cleanser, then pat dry with a clean towel.
This step is optional, but those with sensitive skin types might have difficulty tolerating the puncturing, apply a topical numbing cream or any over-the-counter topical product to your face. Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes, or as directed on the product description.

Attach the microneedling head to the applicator vial. Remove the cap before application.

Using the Hydra Needle
Make sure you are in a clean environment before beginning the procedure.

When using the Hydra Needle, make sure you are laying down or at least tilting your head back. The device should be vertical so that the serum dispenses evenly on all the needles and has optimal delivery.
Start at the top of your face and make your way down to ensure an even treatment throughout your face.
When stamping the Hydra Needle, make sure the needles are perpendicular to your skin surface. If you do this, the microchannels will be thin and minimal. If you puncture your skin at an angle, the microchannels are wider and more prone to bleeding and scarring.
Use even pressure every time you stamp the Hydra Needle. Continue downwards in an organized fashion to ensure every portion of your face is punctured uniformly and evenly.
After you’ve finished puncturing, if you still have serum on your face after the treatment, rub it gently into your skin for better absorption.

Disassemble your Hydra Needle and wash all the parts with dishwashing soap. This can remove residual blood and remaining skin tissue on your Hydra Needle.
Soak the cap, needle attachment, and vial with alcohol for 10 minutes.

Hydra Needles are fairly easy to use. Although similar to automatic microneedling pens, Hydra Needles are more affordable and have the advantage of dispensing serums into your skin while the microchannels are still fresh. This gives you the maximum benefit of both your skin’s natural response of increased collagen production as well as the benefits from the serum of your choice.

Do not share the device with other people

The Vaney Hydra Needle used by dermatologists increases how much serum you absorb by 80%, while stimulating collagen to generate new skin – effectively treating your wrinkles, discolouration and acne scars from just 3 sessions.

This will change how you do skincare
Did you know that only 4-8% of your serums and creams actually penetrate according to research. Here’s the problem you really face. You have a thick outer layer of skin that acts as a barrier to dirt and bacteria, and unfortunately, all of your skincare products. This means, no matter how much money you spend, you’ll be stuck dealing with wrinkles, lax skin, discolouration and old acne scars, unless you stop slathering skincare products over this dead skin layer.

The Hydra Needle is a device that treats your skin conditions in an entirely different way. The high quality bottle dispenses your serums, while tinie 24 karat gold-plated microneedles create channels in your skin that get ingredients where they’re needed to really be effective. Doing this even tricks your body into starting it’s healing process to create new glowing skin. At clinics, this treatment costs 1000s, that’s why this device has been custom made for your easy personal use.

How it works
The device has 20 small micro-needles that only go up to 0.6mm and are thinner than a human hair. When dotted on the skin they create pathways that lead your products directly past your outer skin layer. In other words, they don’t penetrate far enough to be a risky procedure or cause pain, but far enough to get important ingredients into your skin and make your serums actually work. In fact, it increases absorption by up to 80%.

Needles 0.5mm and above can also delve into the second layer of skin triggering your body’s wound healing response, at which point the following occurs: (1) The skin releases substances that stimulate growth, leading to new healthy skin being created, (2) the skin starts to produce more collagen leading to fewer wrinkles and much firmer skin.

Benefits for your skin
Tackles all signs of ageing
Microneedling can lead to a 400% rise in collagen, something we know greatly reduces wrinkles and works wonders for loose or thinning skin. It’s actually the secret of many celebrities. You may have heard of 40 year old Kim Kardashian’s vampire facials, this is a type of microneedling procedure. You’ll be able to use your Hydra Needle anywhere to reap these benefits, including crows feet, ‘laughter lines’, the chest, neck and back of your hands.

Improve the overall look of your skin
Thanks to its ability to speed up the production of collagen, elastin and growth factors, microneedling can repair and rejuvenate the overall look of your skin. In fact, a study in the International Journal of Dermatology labelled microneedling as the new way to achieve “skin rejuvenation, tightening, and scar remodelling” adding that it offers a “simple and effective treatment for photo-aged skin”.

Fades acne scarring
Microneedling has been found to fade acne scars for all skin types. These scars are often quite rooted in the skin’s layers that the micro-needles are able to reach. When the skin is pricked, the needles help to break down any scar tissue. In another study on the effects of microneedling nearly 100% of acne-scarred participants reported a significant improvement in their scars.

Remove skin discolouration
Microneedles treat hyperpigmentation by normalising pigment cells, peeling the skin and increasing the effects of lightening ingredients like vitamin C. It even has a positive impact in the treatment of melasma, a skin condition that appears as blotchy, brownish facial pigmentation.

Reduce pore size
Another benefit of microneedling is that it helps pores appear smaller. As it stimulates collagen in and around your pores, it causes them to appear plump and reduced.

The top benefits of this wonder treatment

Highly effective
The Hydra Needle is the only home microneedling device that allows you to benefit from microneedling, and insert your serums at the same time to ensure faster and immediate absorption of active ingredients.

No downtime
The Hydra Needle is an easy treatment that comes with no downtime, just some short-term redness. The micro-holes created also close within 24 hours, meaning you continue resume applying make-up and other products by the next day.

Painless
The thin short nature of the 0.25mm needles means you feel no pain at all. With the 0.5 and 0.6mm needles, some experience enough discomfort that they want numbing cream – but don’t worry; you can get this from any drug store or on Amazon. Using our short needle lengths means pain-free treatments, and that means you are far more likely to stick to a regiment, get more effective sessions in, and see real results.

Full control over your treatment
This device allows for real personalised treatment. You get to choose the serum based on your skincare needs, how many micro-channels you want to create (tens or hundreds), whether to target only your problem areas or the whole face and the right pressure to use based on your tolerance level.

Why it’s become the go to device

Simple to use
The Hydra Needle is incredibly simple to use, and only requires dotting the device on the skin. It also automatically controls the penetration depth, which is why you don’t need to be a professional to use it. This means you can skip the learning curve and avoid unnecessary side effects.

Better with small areas
The device was made to be small enough to get to hard to reach areas such as: above the lip, the nose area, around the eyes and the forehead. Essentially, this means you can use it on all the areas you worry about.

Treats the entire body
Microneedling can be done on the entire body, including the arms, back, legs and face.

Safe and high quality materials used
The needles on this device are made of strong titanium, and plated with 24K gold, a metal with natural anti-inflammation properties.

Why the Hydra Needle is better than the alternatives

Less trauma to the skin than derma rollers
Studies have found that derma rollers cause unnecessary damage to skin. Due to its cylinder shape, the needles are exiting and entering at an angle, which creates tearing around the holes. With the upgraded Hydra Needle, the needles are entering straight down, so the holes are only as wide as the very fine needles. This means a significantly faster healing time.

Results without the risky injections
This device is a great option for those who want clinic-like results but are phobic of long needles, don’t want risky surgical procedures or who want that natural ‘not had work done’ look. Even dermatologists are using this to deliver botox, vitamin c and other top ingredients. For you, this means getting the main benefits of a popular clinic treatment affordably and at home.

Safer than lasers (for all skin types)
Microneedling works in much the same way laser treatments do, but instead, you’re injuring the skin mechanically instead of using heat or light. This means there’s less risk of hyperpigmentation for all skin types. In fact, research in the journal Dermatologic Surgery found both laser treatments and microneedling to be comparably effective but gave credit to microneedling for being better tolerated, with fewer side effects and less downtime.

Far more evidenced than jade rollers
Jade rollers may help with puffiness (due to being cold) and improve circulation (due to massaging motions), but there is no scientific research backing them, and thus, they are not recommended or used by professionals. Microneedling devices, on the other hand, have extensive research proving their effectiveness, and are common treatments at clinics.

Tips
Be sure to sterilise your device before and after EACH use.
If you’re using a length of 0.5mm and over, you’ll also need to wipe down your face with 70% isopropyl alcohol before the microneedling process. You can do this after applying numbing cream if you require it.
Never use excessive pressure while microneedling. Be gentle (similar to pressing the button on an elevator). Some pressure is good, but more is not necessary better.
If you’d like to stamp further in, hold the skin taut.
Serums have different viscosity and this influences how well they exit your device. Try to choose a serum that does not have a thick texture.
Also note, the faster you stamp the Hydra Needle, the more serum will be dispensed. If you find that your serum is not being released adequately, lightly shake the Hydra Needle, or angle slightly.
Avoid needling around the eye area with any needle length longer than 0.25mm, and go over this area incredibly lightly.
Also tread lightly around the forehead where the skin is thinner and around the jawline where it’s easier to scar.
Never drag the Hydra Needle across your skin as this can lead to scratches.
Do not use irritating products, such as chemical exfoliates e.g. salicylic acid and lactic acid, active ingredients like benzoyl peroxide, retinol or tretinoin ect during or after treatment. Experts advise stopping such treatments 4 days before microneedling.
Avoid wearing makeup, sunscreen and tanning lotion immediately following treatment, as these were not designed for deep penetration.

What is a derma roller? – BuyDrPen.com

For most women, it’s important to keep themselves presentable and glowing at all times. Be it for their work, dates, or even just being at home. While some opt for cosmetic surgeries, others simply purchase derma rollers to further tone and firm their faces. However, not everyone is familiar how this certain beauty product works. This is why it’s important to do research and ask for some information from family and friends.

If you are one of those people who are quite unfamiliar with these beauty products, then keep on reading. Here are some of the common questions with answers that most individuals ask:

What is a derma roller?

A dermaroller – also called skin rollers, micro needle rollers, and derma rollers – is a small hand-held rolling device with micro surgical steel needles that reach the inner surface of your skin to promote skin repair from the inside out. It stimulates elastin and collagen production in the skin without causing any damage. Derma rollers are also referred to as skin needling when used.

What are the after-effects?

After using derma rollers, your skin will start to naturally regenerate and repair the skin, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time, and when new collagen is formed, the new skin cells are generated, and the blood supply will be boosted. It can take up to 6 weeks before visible signs of regeneration and repair are seen, and the process will continue over the following months, providing you with a natural and long-lasting enhancement.

How many treatments are required?

Normally, the practitioner will advise you to utilise a derma roller UK depending on the results you want to achieve. You will have to use your derma roller with approximately six weeks between them, that is, if the needles are 0.75mm above. Commonly three to four treatments are required. In contrast, those that have 0.25 can be used every other day.

Who would benefit most from derma rollers?

While derma rollers have a slew of benefits for different skin types, professionals suggest those battling acne scars could see great results from incorporating a derma roller in their routine. This depends on the kind of serum you are utilising because you want the product to penetrate deeper to lessen the scarring appearance. Use a dermal roller at 0.25 with a particularly high-quality vitamin C serum as it would make a huge improvement in clearing up their scarring.

What does the process entail?

You have to first clean your skin well and then apply some hydrating toner. Next, apply your treatment serum. If your goal is to lessen acne scars’ appearance, go for a serum with brightening agents. Begin the derma rolling process by doing three passes. So, you want to do upward, sideways, and then diagonal. You do three separate passes. It’s not so important the direction that you’re doing it. It’s more important that there are passes up into your jawline. Then, follow up with another layer of your serum, the treatment serum that you use.

Does derma rolling hurt?

This is completely dependent on the length of the needles on the derma roller UK. At-home derma roller needles are short so don’t pierce the skin deep enough to hurt. However, anything over 1.5mm can be painful, so it’s better that you consult the professionals. They will tend to pop a numbing cream on your face an hour before your treatments. In addition, you might draw blood if you use longer needles, but there’s nothing to be scared of.

Will you draw blood while using derma rollers?

For those using a 0.25 needle dermaroller, the depth is quite shallow. However, everyone’s face is different. If you do find any little pinprick of blood that arrives at the surface, then wipe it off with the hydrating toner. Re-apply another layer of the serum, a moisturiser.

Now that you have reached the end of this article, you are probably more knowledgeable and familiar with derma rollers. While you may not see instant results when using this product, you can certainly ensure that it will bring many skin benefits. Keep in mind that it takes long patience and consistency for such products to work. You just have to make sure that you follow the instructions of use properly and find the best seller for this. Microneedling, also known as derma rolling, has been proven to dramatically improve skin by making it firmer, smoother, and more supple. As hundreds of tiny needles make microscopic punctures as you roll, your skin
reacts by triggering the healing process and producing more collagen and elastin so that
newer, fresher, and more beautiful skin arises. We pair the DermRoller with our favorite serum
or cream, and it’s “hello” to amazing skin. Now that’s how we roll.

How to Use a Derma Roller

A derma roller is a small roller that has a number of small needles on it that you use to make holes in your skin, a process called microneedling. The idea is that these tiny holes can help your skin produce more collagen, a protein that helps with healthy-looking skin. It can also open up your skin to serums and hydration products.[1] Typically, you use this treatment on your face, though you can use it on other areas of your body, particularly areas that have scarring. Using a derma roller is fairly simple, though you should clean both your skin and the derma roller before and after use.

1. Cleaning the Roller and Your Skin

– Disinfect the roller before use. Tiny needles are penetrating your skin, so obviously you want to disinfect those needles first. Soak the roller in 70% isopropyl alcohol. Leave it for 10 minutes.
70% is better than 99% because it doesn’t evaporate as quickly.
After it’s soaked for 10 minutes, pull it out, and shake off the excess alcohol. Let it air dry for a few minutes.

– Wash your skin in warm water. It’s important to start with clean skin.[3] For example, you could use a gentle foaming cleanser for your face to thoroughly clean your skin. Bar soap or shower gel and water for other parts of your body are fine. The point is you need to start with clean skin, and it’s fine to use your typical cleansers.
However, you don’t want to start with anything too harsh, so skip facial cleansers with things like salicyclic acid in them. Opt for something gentler.

– Disinfect your skin if you’re using longer needles. Longer needles mean deeper penetration, which in turn can lead to infection. If you’re using needles longer than 0.5 millimeters long, you should disinfect your skin in addition to the roller. Gently swipe rubbing alcohol (70% isopropyl) all across your skin.

2. Rolling the Area

– Begin with a numbing cream if you prefer. Most people aren’t sensitive to the needles, but if you’re sensitive to pain, you can use a numbing cream first, particularly if you have needles that are 1.0 millimeter or longer. Rub a lidocaine cream into the area, and leave it for 20 minutes before you start rolling.[4]
Wipe off any excess cream before you roll.
You can also apply an emollient to soften your skin to help avoid irritation.[5]

– Roll vertically. Start on one edge of the area. Roll up it from top to bottom, avoiding the eye socket area if you’re doing your face. Lift it up, and roll over the same area again, repeating 6 times in total. Move the roller over and repeat. Keep going until you’ve done the whole area.
If you’re using longer needles, such as 1.0 millimeter or higher, you may see some light bleeding. However, if you notice more than pinpricks of blood, you should stop. You may need a smaller needle.[6]

– Roll horizontally. Starting at the top or bottom, roll across the area horizontally. Lift up, and roll over the same area again. Roll over it 6 times altogether. Move down or up a little bit, and repeat the process until you’ve done the whole area.
You can also go diagonally, but that can lead to uneven needling.

– Stop rolling after 2 minutes, particularly on your face. You can overdo it with microneedling, especially on your face. Therefore, it’s a good idea to limit each rolling session to under 2 minutes if you can.[7]

– Use a derma roller every other day or so. Using it too often can lead to inflammation. At most, try using your derma roller 3 to 5 times a week, making sure to give your skin a break every now and then.[8] Some people only use this treatment every 6 weeks, for instance.

3. Cleaning Up

– Hydrate your skin. It can help to use a hydration product after you’re done. For instance, a sheet mask can help you hydrate and heal. Another option is applying an anti-aging or anti-wrinkle serum after you’re done. These serums will penetrate more deeply because of the micro holes.

– Clean the roller in dish soap and water. Wash your roller off using dish soap and hot water. Dish soap is better than other soaps at removing the tiny particles of blood and skin on your roller. Put the soap and water in a clean container, and shake the roller around in the water.

– Disinfect the roller after use. Shake off excess water. Put the roller in 70% isopropyl alcohol. Let it soak for 10 minutes before shaking off the alcohol. Give it a chance to air dry before putting it away.

Derma Roller for hair is highly effective in tackling hair loss, hair growth, and regrowth. It’s a form of micro-needling having tiny needles varying from 0.25mm to 1.5 mm. When you roll the derma roller on your scalp, its needles puncture holes so that the remedial qualities of oils can easily reach the hair follicles.

Derma roller for men is incredibly helpful in tackling hair loss, hair growth, and beard growth. This has also proved to be extremely effective for hair regrowth. It is a micro-needling form since the roller has tiny needles attached to it.

When you use the derma roller on your scalp, the derma roller’s needles are known to puncture holes.

Wondering why? The roller causes controlled injuries to your scalp’s skin. When your scalp responds to this, the healing process stimulates various hair growth responses.

A derma roller really works for hair growth.

Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure. It involves pricking the skin with tiny sterilized needles. The small wounds cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heal your skin and help you look younger. You might also hear it called collagen induction therapy.

Microneedling Benefits

Microneedling may help with issues like:
Acne
Hair loss (also called alopecia)
Dark spots or patches on your skin (hyperpigmentation)
Large pores
Reduced skin elasticity
Scars
Stretch marks
Sun damage
Fine lines and wrinkles

Microneedling is less expensive than laser treatments, which can cost about four times as much. Microneedling may work better for people with darker skin tones because it doesn’t involve heat the way laser treatments do, which can affect your skin’s pigmentation, or color. Ask your dermatologist what’s best for your skin — and your budget.

What Happens When You Get Microneedling

Dermatologists (doctors who specialize in skin care and skin disorders) can do microneedling. Aestheticians also do it. If you try it somewhere other than a doctor’s office, first check on the person’s experience and credentials, and make sure that all of the equipment is sterilized. There are do-it-yourself versions of microneedling devices. But dermatologists warn against using those because you might accidentally hurt your skin, and you may not have a good way to sterilize the needles.

The procedure usually takes 10-20 minutes, depending on how big the area is. Most people need 4-6 treatments to see a difference.

First, you’ll get a numbing cream smoothed onto your face so you can’t feel the needle pricks. Then the person doing the microneedling will move a pen-shaped or rolling tool with tiny needles around your face. The needles make small cuts in your skin, which causes a bit of bleeding. Your doctor may spread a cream or serum on your face after that.

Microneedling creates microscopic punctures in the skin.

Simply put, microneedling is the insertion of very fine short, sterilized needles into the skin for rejuvenation, explains Macrene. When the skin feels these pinpricks, your body will naturally rush to heal them, resulting in a plumped, more youthful appearance. The most popular (and cost-effective) microneedling device, a dermaroller, comprises micro-fine needles that range in diameter from 0.5 and 2.5 millimeters. But, if the prospect of multiple needle wounds sounds slightly ominous to you, know that the punctures are more like pinpricks that enter only surface-level deep.

Microneedling involves using tiny needles to cause micro-injuries to the skin, stimulating the fibroblast cells to heal the skin. These needles can be mounted on a roller, electronic pen or stamp.

The micro-needles won’t feel the most comfortable but on the pain scale, microneedling is very minimal. Depending on your skin type, there will be redness for a day or so afterwards, more so if you’re on the sensitive side.

Microneedling has a number of benefits for your skin. The main aim of the treatment is to generate collagen so your skin feels tighter, smoother and softer.

This means there will be fewer visible fine lines and a reduction in the appearance of scarring and pores. It may take a few sessions to see the long-term results, but after one treatment your skin should instantly appear brighter.

Why go for micro-needling?

Microneedling is very well known for its skincare benefits, both as a medical therapy and at-home treatments. It can be defined as the process of creating micro injuries which triggers the body go into “repair mode” and fill them with collagen, while the epidermis is left unharmed. According to a recent lengthy article published by The New York Times on microneedling, titled ‘How to Reduce Wrinkles without Lasers or Chemicals’, two major advantages of micro-needling over other treatment options were highlighted. The first is its ability to be performed repeatedly, it has little downtime and does not cause excessive skin reddening or irritation. The second reason is that the risks of hyperpigmentation associated with microneedling are much lower when compared to lasers. This is very important especially for people with darker skin tones.

The quality of results produced by this treatment is the major difference between it and other skincare treatments like facials, masks, etc. You are actually building collagen and causing the skin to thicken, so rather than look good for just a couple days after your facials, your skin remains smooth and radiates for a longer period. The at-home microneedling treatment is guaranteed to give you a more long lasting result than your regular masks or facials.

Make sure you get the correct length of the micro-needle

One of the most important steps toward having an effective and safe micro-needling treatment at home is selecting the appropriate needle length for the exercise. You should go for a dermaroller that has short needles for at-home microneedling so as to prevent the risk of scarring the skin. The longer the needles, the higher the risk of infection or scarring and also the higher the chances that it’ll hurt.

Nonetheless, does using smaller needles mean you’ll get less visible results? No! According to a recent study published in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the formation of collagen was not dependent on the length of the needle and also that regular microneedling was very important. In addition, the finer the needles, the less downtown and the more frequent you can microneedle. Therefore, when it comes to at-home microneedle length, think small!

How Does a Dermaroller Work?

The dermaroller tiny needles create insignificant injuries on your skin. This triggers collagen and elastin production, thus making your complexion to tighten and smooth out. Dermarolling has the potentials to fill in wrinkles, fine line, and eye bags in this manner. The deeper stimulation provided makes it a perfect means of reducing acne, hyperpigmentation, and scars.

A dermaroller can be utilized for boosting the effectiveness of your anti-aging serums. The small punctures created by the process creates improved absorption, which makes active ingredients to find their way into the skin and work like magic.

Frequency of Use

The usage frequency depends on your product’s needle size.

* 0.5mm- four to five times every week.
* 1.0mm to 1.5mm- once in 3 or 4 weeks
* 2.0mm to 2.5mm- once in 4 or 5 weeks

Dermarolling is a simplified and productive means of fighting wrinkles, stimulating your skin, and making the most of your products. At Derma Rolling System, our medical-grade dermaroller is the best compliment for all our all-natural serums.

It is safe to perform Microneedling at home as well as very effective with little downtime

Because of the word “needle” in microneedling, people are usually terrified of trying this treatment. However, studies have shown that this treatment can be incredibly effective on the skin provided it’s done safely. Most doctors and celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Angelina Jolie love microneedling, it has fast become a favorite treatment that produces the best results and has little downtime. In the recent past, microneedling was very expensive and could only be administered by aesthetic medical doctors and dermatologists. Currently, due to the innovations in beauty, it is now possible to carry out microneedling at home, but it must be done correctly to make sure you get the best results. We’ll discuss the must-dos in carrying out safe microneedling at home, read on!

Clean your microneedling tools properly

After selecting the appropriate microneedling device size, the next step is to sanitize your dermaroller. Just as microneedles are designed to make tiny wounds on the skin, they equally penetrate the skin minutely. That’s not to say that at-home micro-needling is not safe, in actual fact it has been proven to be extremely safe, but we must sanitize our dermaroller after every use in order to avoid any risk of infection. Keep in mind when disinfecting your at-home micro-needling tool that it’ll be used on your face. Be careful not to expose your most sensitive skin to harsh cleaning materials like bleach.

Note: Remember to wash your hands before every use. Most people remember to clean their tools but often forget to wash their hands. This is extremely important!

Select the ultimate serum

The best products to use with your dermaroller are serums because of their ability to absorb speedily into the skin and provide great benefits to the skin tone. You may already know that serums have the highest active ingredients as far as the skincare world is concerned. This is particularly important while making use of a dermaroller because the numerous microneedles gently prepare the skin to absorb the product. When you combine your facial serum with the act of the dermaroller, it boosts your anti-aging benefits and the lightweight feel of the serum will penetrate effortlessly into the skin.
