Hydra Roller vs Other Microneedling Tools | Buydrpen

These days, there’s a microneedling product specifically made for nearly every skin problem. However, not all of these are equally effective for all skin conditions. People might even have bad experiences with skincare products that are just full of false promises. That’s why it’s crucial to research which product is best and most effective for your skin type.

So which microneedling tool should you get? One popular tool is the Hydra Roller, a modified version of the typical derma roller and a go-to product of those who like practical and time-saving beauty tools. When it comes to microneedling, you’ll actually find plenty of options available. Aside from the microneedling procedures offered by aesthetic clinics and dermatologists, there are plenty of microneedling devices for sale which can confuse you. But how does the popular Hydra Roller perform versus any other microneedling device on the market?

Hydra Roller is to stimulate collagen production and to increase the absorption of skincare products.
But traditional derma roller it’s not easy to operation, as you have to use another hand or one assistant to help you get essence liquid on face.
This new hydra roller with bottle successful combine micro needle with essence liquid and import it automatically. Do not need assistant, do not need go to clinic to do hydra roller treatment, you can do it at home from now on! At-home microneedle have much smaller needles than the tools in the dermatologist office, so they aren’t supposed to hurt.

Hydra Roller vs. Microneedling Pens

Hydra Rollers and microneedling pens are both microneedling tools. However, Hydra Rollers are a more innovative version of derma rollers. Instead of the usual handheld model of microneedling rollers, the roll with the needles is attached to a serum cartridge.

Before you use your Hydra Roller, you need to fill up the cartridge with your favorite serum. We recommend using hyaluronic acid to help with hydration, though you can opt to use any other serum. As you begin the microneedling process, the serum goes out through the roller. The serum then enters the microchannels created by the needles and infuses deeply into your skin. Ideally, you should practice weekly or bi-weekly use to achieve your skin goals.

Microneedling is a popular minimally invasive procedure that can be done either in aesthetic clinics or in the comfort of your own home. It uses your body’s natural response to skin trauma to help you develop healthier, younger-looking skin while also getting rid of dull and dead skin cells that make your skin look worn.

How It Works
Microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy because it uses your body’s natural response to damaged skin tissue. When the needles puncture your skin, it creates these tiny punctures called microchannels. These trigger your skin’s trauma response and it begins to heal itself through natural collagen and elastin production, which start skin tissue growth to naturally repair these small wounds.

Aside from healing these microchannels, the production of collagen and elastin also help to get rid of dead skin cells and produce more youthful, healthier ones. Skin tissue growth results in newer skin cells taking over dying skin cells that will be shed. Microneedling with longer needles reach the inner layer of skin to treat scars, wrinkles, brown spots, and pores, since these skin issues are caused by other factors.

Benefits of Microneedling
Minimal downtime. Microneedling done at home requires no downtime at all, while microneedling in a clinic may require a little downtime, depending on what the aesthetician recommends. Your skin may feel a little more sensitive after a microneedling session, but it’s normal. Just remember to apply sunscreen on your face when going out.
Improved absorption of topical products. If you’re doing at-home microneedling with a Hydra Roller, wait for a few hours before moving onto your skincare routine. Avoid using any chemical peels or products with active ingredients especially on the treated area that is fresh and sensitive as these can be harsh and damaging.
Reduce pore size. The microneedling process can help your enlarged pores look smaller. When the skin’s trauma response is activated, the areas around your pore plumps, resulting in smaller-looking pores.
Does not affect skin tone. Treatments like laser skin resurfacing are not recommended for people with darker skin because the heat can affect pigmentation and cause discoloration. Microneedling does not involve heat and can be used for people with all skin tones.
Firmer skin. Aside from healthier-looking skin, the additional collagen and elastin can make your skin firmer and more elastic. You can also see improvement in skin texture as well as dark spots.

There are many microneedling products on the market, and the Hydra Roller is a must-try for beginners interested in popular skincare treatments and at-home microneedling tools. Pair this with your usual skincare routine and see huge improvements to your skin in a matter of weeks.

Hydra Roller helps to stimulate collagen production and to increase the absorption of skincare products.
The traditional derma roller it’s not easy to operation, as you have to use and applicant the serum at the same time. The new hydra roller with attached glass bottle combine nano needle with essence liquid and import it automatically.

Instructions:
1.Wash your skin with warm water.
2.Wash the applicator vial with alcohol.
3.Put the essence of the liquid into the applicator vial. Carefully screw the top bact onto the vial. Gently shake the vial 2-3 times.
4.Remove the safety and hygiene cover.
5.Roll on the skin backwards and forwards 4-5times.Move the roller in four directions.
Keep the speed and pressure uniform thereby creating more micro vessels.

What Is the Best At-Home Microneedling Pen?

Microneedling procedures are becoming more popular as people are learning of its benefits. Compared to other cosmetic procedures and products in the market that are more expensive or less effective, microneedling (or as it’s formally known in aesthetic practices – Collagen Induction Therapy) is based on science and can work for all regardless of skin type, skin tone, skin condition, and other varying factors. Through pricking your skin, you can naturally increase your body’s production of collagen. This makes it easier to shed dead skin cells and replace dull skin with youthful-looking healthy skin.

Initially, microneedling was only available at aesthetic clinics and dermatological practices and performed by doctors, aestheticians, and nurses. However, do-it-yourself versions of microneedling tools were recently introduced to the public and are now available for women and men who want the convenience of microneedling at home. For those who’d like to try microneedling in the comfort of their own home, here are the best at-home microneedling pens to work with for a safe and effective experience.

The Best At-Home Microneedling Pens

You’ll find many microneedling pens sold online, in cosmetics stores, and possibly from your own aesthetic center. Here are our top picks you should consider.

What to Look for in an At-Home Microneedling Pen

From looking at our list alone, you can tell that not all microneedling pens are alike. It’s important to consider several factors when comparing microneedling pens, including:

Needle Length

Microneedling pens offer various needle lengths which are best for certain purposes. Deeper needle penetration is used for skin problems that go beyond the superficial layer, while smaller needles are for skin concerns that don’t run too deep.

We recommend beginners start with smaller needles and only go for longer needles if necessary. Use this table as a guide when choosing your microneedling pen.

Skin concerns Needle length in millimeters (mm)
Acne scarring 1.0 – 1.5 mm (use shorter needles for superficial scars and longer needles for deeper scars)
Blemishes and dark spots 0.25 – 0.5 mm
Pores 0.25 – 0.5 mm
Sagging or loose skin 0.5 – 1.5 mm
Skin discoloration 0.25 – 1 mm
Stretch marks 1.5 mm
Sun-damaged skin 0.5 – 1.5 mm
Uneven skin tone or uneven skin texture 0.5 mm

As much as possible, avoid using 2-millimeter needles. These provide deeper needle penetration but are best handled by professionals as these can be risky for untrained users. Needle size also determines how often you should practice microneedling: smaller needles can be used more frequently, while larger needles should be used more sparingly to reduce long-term skin damage.

Needle length in millimeters (mm) Frequency of microneedling
0.25 mm Every other day
0.5 mm Start with one session per week and gradually use it more often up to three times per week.
1 mm Every two weeks
1.5 mm Once a month
2 mm (not recommended for at-home microneedling) Every six weeks
Stainless Steel vs. Titanium Needles

Microneedling pen needles are available in stainless steel or titanium. While they both give roughly the same results on your skin, the difference between the two is their durability.

Stainless Steel Needles Titanium Needles
Weaker than titanium and becomes blunt fasterMore sterile than titanium, which is why it’s the choice of medical professionals Cheaper option A stronger alloy than stainless steel, thus more durable and will last longerNeedles will stay sharp and not go blunt quicklyMore expensive but has no difference on your skin compared to stainless steel needles
Needle Cartridges

Unlike dermarollers, microneedling pens require needle cartridges to use for the session. On the lower end is the nano-needle cartridge and the 12-pin cartridge, while the highest is the 36-pin cartridge.

Nano-needle cartridges are best used for beginners who may not be used to the piercing feeling of microneedling. This is enough to stimulate the skin on a superficial level while helping with skin problems like fine lines and textured skin. 36-pin needle cartridges, on the other hand, are for more heavy-duty skin concerns like facial wrinkles, stretch marks, and discoloration.

Device Power
Devices can be chargeable or require additional batteries to function. Though the differences are negligible, consider the practical side of how frequently you’ll be using your microneedling pen. For those using their microneedling pen multiple times per week, there isn’t much of a difference. But for those using longer needles and using their pens less frequently, it might be more practical to get a chargeable device and charge as needed.

Speed Levels
For certain areas of your face (as well as for beginners adjusting to the sensation of microneedling), having different speeds can help your skin adapt to the microneedling process. Ideally, your microneedling pen should come in at least three speeds.

How to Use a Microneedling Pen

If you’re new to microneedling, it might be best to first try out the experience at your local aesthetic clinic. Once you’re used to the sensation, you can start browsing around for at-home microneedling pens. Be sure to read up on how to properly use a micropen before using it on yourself.

Disinfect your microneedling pen. Wash your roller according to its user manual instructions. Disinfect your pen and needle cartridges in isopropyl alcohol.
Prep your skin. Wash your face thoroughly with a mild cleanser to remove any dirt particles. If you’ll be using a needle cartridge longer than 0.5 millimeters, wipe your face with isopropyl alcohol to sanitize.

If you’re using needles shorter than one millimeter and have a fairly good pain tolerance, you can proceed with the microneedling process. If you have a low pain tolerance or will be using needles longer than a millimeter, apply numbing cream to your face. Using needles longer than a millimeter will most likely result in bleeding, which is normal for the process. Wait for a few minutes or as instructed by your numbing cream’s packaging.
Start the microneedling process. Begin the microneedling process in the affected area. A good tip to microneedling is to divide your face into sections and work in one direction. Avoid the eye area and adjust your process according to your pain tolerance and skin sensitivity.

Wash your face and proceed with your regular beauty routine. After the procedure, rinse your face with water and pat dry with a clean towel. Proceed with your daily skincare routine, but avoid chemical exfoliates or active ingredients like salicylic acid or benozoyl peroxide, as these can be harsh towards your sensitive skin.
Disinfect your microneedling pen before storage. Start by washing off the blood and skin tissue on your pen with dishwashing soap (or any similar detergent that can dissolve proteins found in your skin). Next, let it soak in isopropyl alcohol for 10 minutes. Let your unit dry completely before putting it away.

You may have sensitive skin in the treated areas for the next few days. While there is no downtime or recovery time necessary, it’s best to take steps to protect your skin like avoiding prolonged sun exposure. After a few days, you may feel noticeably softer skin and a reduced appearance of scars or other skin concerns.

Microneedling is a must-try procedure for people who want to harness their body’s natural collagen production for skin rejuvenation. We recommend getting your first-time microneedling experience from an aesthetician clinic then, once you’ve gotten used to the pricking feeling, trying it yourself at home.

Best LED masks and Light Therapy Masks To Use At Home

Do LED Light Masks Really Work?
They look robotic — like a Stormtrooper’s headgear from Star Wars, if you will — and promise to give you clearer, smoother-looking skin. Called LED light masks, they are what they sound like: devices illuminated by LED lights that you wear over your face.

Here’s what you need to know before you invest in the celebrity-beloved beauty trend, including how and if the masks work, what you’ll pay, and the best products according to board-certified dermatologists.

Are LED Masks Safe to Use?
LED masks have an “excellent” safety profile, according to a review published in February 2018 in the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology.

And though you may have heard more people talking about them lately, they’re nothing new. These devices have been around for decades and are generally used by dermatologists or aestheticians in an office setting to treat inflammation after facials, minimize breakouts, and give skin an overall boost. Today you can purchase these devices and use them at home.

The convenience of improving your skin while sipping vino or lying in bed may be a huge selling point — it makes skin care look easy. If people believe the masks work as effectively as an in-office treatment, they save time commuting to the doctor, waiting to see a dermatologist, and money for office visits.

What Does an LED Mask Do to Your Skin?
Each mask employs a different spectrum of light wavelengths that penetrate the skin to trigger changes at the molecular level.

Each spectrum of light produces a different color to target various skin concerns.

For instance, red light is designed to increase circulation and stimulate collagen, making it useful for those who are looking to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, she explains. A loss of collagen, which tends to happen in aging and sun-damaged skin, can contribute to fine lines and wrinkles.

On the other hand, blue light targets bacteria that cause acne, which can help stop the cycle of breakouts. Those are the two most common and popular colors used, but other masks on the market use additional light, such as yellow (to reduce redness) and green (to lessen pigmentation).

At-home skin-care routines have really leveled up over the past few years, especially in the tool arena, and no skin-care gadget is as intriguing as the LED light-therapy mask.

Celebrities are no longer the only ones who get to wear luminescent masks and haunt the public’s dreams by Instagramming their LED selfies. There are now several regular-person versions available online, meaning anyone can harness the power of LED light — usually of the blue (bacteria-killing) and red (collagen- and elastin-stimulating) varieties — without a fancy dermatologist’s supervision.

Though they make you look slightly upsetting on the outside, these eight LED light-therapy masks will get you glowing underneath by reducing inflammation, acne, wrinkles, and discoloration at depths your topical products can’t on their own.

What are the benefits of LED masks?
LED masks for the skin help treat a variety of different skin concerns, such as firming the skin, combating wrinkles, reducing inflammation, preventing breakouts, and regulating oil production.

Green light is typically used for hyperpigmentation by targeting melanocytes, quelling toxic free radicals, and breaking up melanin clusters. It inhibits the production of excess melanin and prevents it from traveling to the skin surface. On the other hand, red light triggers cells called fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin, making it ideal for anti-aging. This can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and thin skin.

And lastly, blue light is typically used to treat acne. Blue light stimulates the production of oxygen radicals that kill the acne-causing bacteria C. acnes. It has also been shown to reduce activity in the sebaceous glands, so they produce less of the oil that can plug pores and trigger acne.

Can you use different LED lights at the same time?
Absolutely! Because red light has also been shown to reduce the production of cytokines, which cause inflammation, it is commonly used in combination with blue light to manage inflammatory conditions like acne and rosacea.

Are there any side effects to LED masks?
After years of being taught that UV light is dangerous, it might seem counterintuitive to intentionally treat your face with light. But don’t worry—LED light is completely safe and won’t cause any damage. LEDs are usually very safe for all skin colors and types as the procedure is non-invasive and does not require the application of any topicals with the potential for irritation.

But there are some concerns of eye damage, especially if you have a history of seizures or migraines triggered by bright lights, so always shield the eyes or wear eye protection when using a LED device. People who take photosensitizing medications like lithium, certain antipsychotics, or some antibiotics should avoid LED light altogether.

How long will it take to see results?
If you’re looking to see an instant improvement, at-home LED light therapy probably isn’t for you. Remember what I said about these gadgets not being nearly as powerful as an in-office treatment? You’ll likely have to wait a minimum of four to six weeks, or longer, to notice any visible skin improvements. Make sure you are the type of person who will be consistent with using it because it won’t do any good otherwise.

Also, it’s helpful to keep your expectations in check. If you have more established wrinkles or severe (read: cystic) acne, talk to your dermatologist about other possible treatments (like Botox or Accutane), as your skin may not be very responsive to at-home light therapy.

Skin Boosting with Hydraneedle – Derma Rolling System

Every single year people waste money on skincare products by slathering it on their outer layer of dead skin. And because it doesn’t get where it’s needed, it doesn’t work, and you’re left stuck with skin concerns. This tool, that’s used by dermatologists, increases how much serum you can absorb by 80% which lets you effectively treat your wrinkles, discolouration and acne scars from just 3 sessions.

HydraNeedle is a revolutionary single-use microneedling/microchanneling device used to inject a variety of serums into the skin.

How it works
The Hydra Needle is the new way to treat wrinkles, discolouration and acne scarring from home with a clinical evidence based device. Its high-quality bottle dispenses your serums, while 20 tiny micro-needles on top, plated with 24k gold, create pathways that lead serums past your outer skin layer when you dot it on your skin. The ‘needles’ only go up to 0.6mm and are thinner than a human hair. In other words, they don’t penetrate far enough to be a risky procedure or cause pain, but far enough to get important ingredients into your skin and make your serums work. In fact, it increases absorption by up to 80%.

Devices 0.5mm and above can even delve into the second layer of skin. This triggers your body’s wound healing response, which causes new healthy skin to be created, and collagen to be produced leading to fewer wrinkles and much firmer skin.

The microneedling device is most commonly used to deliver cosmetic rejuvenation serums into the skin. These micro-infusion treatments improve skin texture, hydration, and elasticity. It not only improves fine lines and wrinkles, but can also improve acne scars, stretch marks, pore size, redness, and overall skin quality.

Many patients notice a skin plumping and brightening effect immediately but results are usually seen 3-7 days after treatment and typically last approximately 3-4 months (depending on the condition being treated, your lifestyle, and overall skin quality).

This procedure can be done as often as every 1-3 months, as doing several treatments throughout the year will continue to improve long term skin quality. We find that Hydraneedle treatments work best in a series of 3 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

Benefits for your skin
Tackles all signs of ageing
Microneedling can lead to a 400% rise in collagen, something we know greatly reduces wrinkles and works wonders for loose or thinning skin. You’ll be able to use your Hydra Needle anywhere to reap these benefits, including crows feet, ‘laughter lines’, the chest, neck and back of your hands.

Improve the overall look of your skin
Thanks to its ability to speed up the production of collagen, elastin and growth factors, microneedling can repair and rejuvenate the overall look of your skin. In fact, a study in the International Journal of Dermatology labelled microneedling as the new way to achieve “skin rejuvenation, tightening, and scar remodelling”.

Fades acne scarring
Microneedling has been found to fade acne scars for all skin colours and types. These scars are often quite rooted in the skin’s layers but the micro-needles are able to reach them. In another study on the effects of microneedling nearly 100% of acne-scarred participants reported a significant improvement in their scars.

Remove skin discolouration
Microneedles treat hyperpigmentation by normalising pigment cells, peeling the skin and increasing the effects of lightening ingredients like vitamin C. It even has a positive impact in the treatment of melasma, a skin condition that appears as blotchy, brownish facial pigmentation.

Reduce pore size
Another benefit of microneedling is that it helps pores appear smaller. As it stimulates collagen in and around your pores, it causes them to appear plump and reduced.

1. Stimulates collagen production
Microneedling is often referred to as collagen induction therapy. Collagen is a structural protein that keeps your skin strong and resilient. Production of this youth-promoting protein decreases as you get older, which contributes to the development of the lines and wrinkles.

The tool we use for your microneedling creates microtears in the surface layer of your skin. These tiny tears trigger the self-healing mechanism in your skin, which includes an increase in the production of collagen.

2. Smooths out lines and wrinkles
By upping the production of collagen, microneedling restores your skin’s strength and elasticity, which improves firmness to smooth out those fine lines and wrinkles to make them less visible.

Microneedling also takes very little time, usually an hour or less. And to make sure you’re as comfortable as possible, we apply a numbing agent to your skin before we start treatment.

You may experience some redness following your session, but there’s no need for downtime — you can resume your usual activities afterward. We do, however, recommend you be diligent about the use of sunblock to protect your skin as it heals and rejuvenates.

3. Improves skin tone
The sun isn’t a friend to your skin. In addition to accelerating the breakdown of collagen, too much sun can cause areas of hyperpigmentation on your face and hands, or what we refer to as sun spots. The microneedling helps break up your hyperpigmented skin, while at the same time improving cell turnover to give you a more even complexion.

4. Treats scars
Your acne may be gone, but the scars left behind can have a long-lasting effect on your self-esteem and self-confidence. However, microneedling may be the solution you’ve long sought. By stimulating your skin’s repair process, microneedling allows your skin to fill in your recessed acne scars and improve the texture and look of your skin.

In addition to acne scars, microneedling is also an effective treatment for scars caused by trauma and surgery. We can even use the tool to help get rid of your stretch marks.

5. Assists delivery of platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a form of regenerative medicine that contains a high concentration of the healing properties found in your blood, including platelets, growth factors, and specialized proteins. Depending on your aesthetic goals, we may suggest adding PRP to your microneedling treatment to accelerate the repair process.

We create the PRP we use for your treatment from a sample of your own blood and apply it to your skin before we begin your microneedling. The tiny needle drives the healing properties from the PRP into the surface layer of your skin to maximize the beautification process.

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that can change the entire structure and look of your skin.

Microneedling Tool: How to Use a Hydra Needle

Microneedling has become a popular treatment for those who want smoother skin and a youthful glow on their face. This can also help a number of skin issues like deep wrinkles and stretch marks, to name a few. While this procedure is available in spas and aesthetic practices, microneedling products are now in the market for those who want to do less invasive minor treatments for skin firming and other benefits.

So how do you use a Hydra Needle? You need to lay down or at least tilt your head and start from the top of your face to ensure even coverage. Make sure that the needles are perpendicular to your skin to make thin and minimal punctures. Use pressure on your skin for the hydra needle to take full effect, then rub your serum onto the face. Finally, rinse your skin with clean water.

How to Use a Hydra Needle
Not all Hydra Needles are created equal. When purchasing your Hydra Needle (also known as a Hydra Stamp), take note that these come in different brands, so consider the quality, reviews, and product description when browsing. Alternatively, you might come across a product called the “Hydra Roller”. Hydra Needles are similar to microneedling pens, while Hydra Rollers are similar to derma rollers, so choose which one you’re more comfortable working with.

If you find Hydra Needles with different needle lengths, avoid getting those equipped with 2-millimeter needles or longer. This is not recommended for at-home use and can cause extensive scarring. Many Hydra Needles are sold individually, but given that Hydra Needles are disposable and only last a few uses before the needles go dull, it might be more practical to buy in larger quantities.

Preparing Your Skin
Before you can start microneedling, it’s important that you check whether or not you’re suitable for microneedling use. Anyone can do microneedling, but if any of these apply to you, we highly recommend you don’t until these issues clear up.

People with active bacterial infections on their skin. This includes acne cysts, staph infections, psoriasis, eczema, and others. This also includes people who are seeking treatment for these infections but are not fully healed. If you proceed with microneedling, there’s a risk that bacteria can enter the microchannels and cause a deeper infection.

People with a history of poor wound healing. Microneedling relies on your skin’s self-healing mechanisms, so a history of poor wound healing could affect the results.

Women on their periods. Your skin is more sensitive right before and during your period, so wait until after your period ends to perform microneedling to avoid making your treatment more painful.

Otherwise, it’s time to start preparing your skin!

1. Wash your face thoroughly with warm water and a gentle cleanser, then pat dry with a clean towel.
2. This step is optional, but those with sensitive skin types might have difficulty tolerating the puncturing, apply a topical numbing cream or any over-the-counter topical product to your face. Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes, or as directed on the product description.
3. Using a clean cotton pad or cotton ball, gently wipe your face with 70% isopropyl alcohol solution. This is to cleanse your skin and prevent bacterial infection. Wait for the alcohol to dry before you begin microneedling.

Preparing Your Hydra Needle
Next, let’s prepare your microneedling device. Keep in mind that the Hydra Needle and the Hydra Roller are different (the Hydra Needle is closer to a microneedling pen, while the Hydra Roller is more like a derma roller), and cleaning the Hydra Roller head can be different.

1. Whether you’re using your Hydra Needle for the first time or you’re reusing it, it’s a good practice to disinfect Hydra Needle. Fill a container with enough rubbing alcohol solution to submerge your Hydra Needle’s parts. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then take it out and let it dry completely.
2. Add your serum of choice into the applicator vial. You can use any serum, but keep in mind that serums with thicker consistencies can be difficult to dispense during the procedure. Some serums you can consider include hyaluronic acid (for skin hydration), vitamin C (for dull skin), and any serum that promotes anti-aging treatments, but you can opt to use your favorite product as long as its consistency can provide optimal delivery.
3. Attach the microneedling head to the applicator vial. Remove the cap before application.

Using the Hydra Needle
Make sure you are in a clean environment before beginning the procedure.

1. When using the Hydra Needle, make sure you are laying down or at least tilting your head back. The device should be vertical so that the serum dispenses evenly on all the needles and has optimal delivery.
2. Start at the top of your face and make your way down to ensure an even treatment throughout your face.
3. When stamping the Hydra Needle, make sure the needles are perpendicular to your skin surface. If you do this, the microchannels will be thin and minimal. If you puncture your skin at an angle, the microchannels are wider and more prone to bleeding and scarring.
4. Use even pressure every time you stamp the Hydra Needle. Continue downwards in an organized fashion to ensure every portion of your face is punctured uniformly and evenly.
5. After you’ve finished puncturing, if you still have serum on your face after the treatment, rub it gently into your skin for better absorption.
6. Rinse your face with clean water (don’t use soap or any cleanser) and pat dry.

No downtime is needed for at-home microneedling, but keep in mind that your skin may feel sensitive to the touch for a few days after treatment. At-home microneedling shows huge improvements on your skin with weekly or bi-weekly use.

Cleaning Your Hydra Needle

1. Disassemble your Hydra Needle and wash all the parts with dishwashing soap. This can remove residual blood and remaining skin tissue on your Hydra Needle.
2. Soak the cap, needle attachment, and vial with alcohol for 10 minutes.
3. Let your Hydra Needle components completely dry before storing it.

If your Hydra Needle is a single-use device, replace the cap of the Hydra Needle and dispose of the microneedling tool properly. For Hydra Needles that can be used multiple times, check if the needles are dull; if it is, dispose of your Hydra Needle. Otherwise, you can start cleaning your Hydra Needle.

Hydra Needles are fairly easy to use. Although similar to automatic microneedling pens, Hydra Needles are more affordable and have the advantage of dispensing serums into your skin while the microchannels are still fresh. This gives you the maximum benefit of both your skin’s natural response of increased collagen production as well as the benefits from the serum of your choice.
